Jaggery is an unrefined natural sweetener made by concentrating cane juice or palm sap. It is often referred to as 'non-centrifugal sugar' because it retains all its natural minerals and vitamins. Our Jaggery has a deep, rich, molasses-like flavor, far more complex than standard white sugar.
Culinary Use: A healthy alternative to refined sugar in tea/coffee, traditional Indian sweets (Chikki, Payasam), and as a sweet element in savory dishes like lentil soups (Dal).
Jaggery's color—ranging from golden brown to dark brown—is an indicator of the richness of the minerals and the level of caramelization, with darker varieties generally having a deeper flavor.
